The Audi Q7 varied from the VW models in terms of pricing, mechanical features, and styling. It had larger interior that could accommodate up to seven adult passengers. Most of the 2008 Audi Q7 reviews gave full credits to the manufacturers for majority of the changes seen on the new version.

Trims

It was marketed in two trims – the 3.6 and the 4.2 Q7. The 3.6 trim was loaded with a V6 engine that could deliver 280 hp, whereas the 4.2 trim received the V8 engine for delivering 350 hp. Both engines were paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and designed with Quattro all-wheel drive of Audi; but they lacked low-range gearing. The towing capacity of the 2008 Audi Q7 was about 6600 lb.

Standard Offerings

The 2008 Audi Q7 safety package included an antiskid system, traction control, ABS, second-row side airbags, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. On the 4.2 trim, a driver-adjustable suspension along with height control was optional feature.

The 2008 Audi Q7 also had a MMI (Multi Media Interface) that utilizes a console knob and a screen and buttons to fix suspension, navigation, audio, and remaining other functions. The additional features included rearview camera, a voice-activated navigation system, keyless starting and entry, rear obstacle detection, and a 3-panel sunroof.
